Houston favorite expands its menu with a plant-based wing option while launching its fan-favorite sauce by the bottle
Houston, TX (RestaurantNews.com) Southern Jerks HTX is giving guests two new reasons to visit this summer with the launch of its NEW Vegan Wings and the debut of its long-awaited Sweet Jerk Chili Sauce available for purchase by the bottle for the first time.
Beginning August 11th, guests can experience Southern Jerks’ newest menu addition – a flavorful, Caribbean-inspired vegan wing designed to deliver the same bold jerk flavors the restaurant has become known for. The new menu item joins the restaurant’s lineup of scratch-made favorites while giving plant-based diners a new way to enjoy Chef Jabril’s signature recipes.
At the same time, Southern Jerks is answering one of its most requested customer asks by bottling its signature Sweet Jerk Chili Sauce. The restaurant will release an initial run of just 100 bottles, available exclusively at its Houston location while supplies last.
“Whether you’re a longtime guest or visiting us for the first time, we wanted to give people something new to get excited about,” said Chef Jabril. “Our customers have been asking for bottled sauce for more than a year, and we’ve also been working hard to create a vegan wing that delivers the same bold flavor Southern Jerks is known for. We’re excited to finally bring both to the menu.”
Known for blending authentic Caribbean flavors with Southern comfort food, Southern Jerks developed its Vegan Wings to appeal not only to plant-based diners but also to anyone looking for a flavorful new twist on a fan favorite. The wings are tossed in the restaurant’s signature jerk-inspired flavors and pair perfectly with the newly bottled Sweet Jerk Chili Sauce.
The new 16-ounce Sweet Jerk Chili Sauce retails for $9.99 and is designed to complement everything from wings, grilled chicken and seafood to burgers, sandwiches and vegetables, allowing guests to recreate Southern Jerks’ signature flavors at home.
The late July launch also marks the beginning of a broader retail sauce collection. Additional bottled flavors are expected to roll out throughout the fall, culminating in a limited-edition Signature Sauce Trio this holiday season featuring three of Chef Jabril’s signature sauces packaged together for gifting.
