Nine-night international educational voyage will bring plastic surgeons together aboard Regent Seven Seas Explorer.

MARINA DEL REY, Calif., Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Dr. Luis H. Macias, MD, FACS, a double-board-certified plastic surgeon and aesthetic surgery educator based in Los Angeles, has been named Co-Chair of The Aesthetic Society's 2028 Aesthetic Cruise, alongside Dr. Holly Wall, MD, FACS.

Scheduled for July 28–August 6, 2028, the nine-night voyage will sail aboard Regent Seven Seas Cruises' Seven Seas Explorer, departing Lisbon, Portugal, and concluding in Barcelona, Spain, with visits to the Canary Islands, Morocco, and Spain's Mediterranean coast.

Organized by The Aesthetic Society, the Aesthetic Cruise combines continuing medical education with international travel, creating a distinctive environment for plastic surgeons to exchange ideas, explore evolving surgical techniques, and build lasting professional relationships.

The 2026 Aesthetic Cruise welcomed more than 320 attendees, including 120 registered plastic surgeons and 37 faculty members representing a broad range of expertise.

Building on that success, the 2028 voyage will offer opportunities for advanced aesthetic surgery education, interactive discussions, and collaboration among colleagues from around the world.

The luxury accommodations aboard Seven Seas Explorer, combined with a scenic Mediterranean and Atlantic itinerary, will provide a unique setting for learning and professional networking.

Leadership in Aesthetic Surgery Education

Dr. Macias brings extensive educational and surgical experience to his role as Co-Chair.

He serves as Director of the Aesthetic Curriculum and Site Director of the Aesthetic Surgery Rotation at the University of Southern California (USC) Plastic Surgery program. He is also a longtime faculty member of the Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship of Los Angeles, helping train plastic surgeons in advanced aesthetic surgical techniques.

Within The Aesthetic Society, Dr. Macias serves as Chair of the Marketing Committee and Vice Chair of the CME Symposium, along with several additional leadership positions.

As founder of Aesthetic MdR in Marina del Rey, California, his clinical practice focuses on advanced facial rejuvenation, including deep-plane facelifts, deep-neck surgery, eyelid surgery, and facial fat grafting.
