The delivery driver suffered injuries requiring extensive treatment, including a fractured neck, multiple spinal fractures, broken collarbones, and several fractured ribs. The chest trauma resulted in a collapsed lung, and abdominal injuries required surgery to remove his spleen (splenectomy).
